What We Do:
Branch 62s travel committee organizes travel for members of this and other SIR
branches, their spouses, siblings, children, grandchildren, also to guests and widows of SIR members.
Trips may be local, distant or overseas. The
trips are frequently cruises and vary from one day up to
several weeks.

Ruby Hill Winery
March 29, 2025
We are arranging another trip to the Ruby Hill winery. This time we have set up a little higher level trip, which will include tasting of higher end wines and snacks, and a more elaborate tour of the vineyards in perhaps a more luxurious vehicle than the ex-Grateful Dead bus on the last tour. Again, to keep it simple and lower cost, we plan to drive to the winery – perhaps arranging carpools. Price will be $60 (remember the higher end wines and tour). Romance of the Rhine & Mosel River Cruise
July 6 - 21, 2025
Two of us are planning to take this cruise but we need more travelers to keep it as a SIR trip. The cruise begins in Basel, Switzerland and goes down the Rhine and Mosel Rivers to Antwerp. Belgium. passing by many fine castles, towns and sights. Prices (pp. double occupancy, including air) range from $6345 to $7645. Single supplement is $895. Pre-trip and post- trip are available. The Douro River: Lisbon to Porto
November 7 to 17, 2025
Jim, wife Margaret, and Roy have signed up for this trip, and we want to see if there is enough interest to make it a SIR trip. This trip begins with a visit to historic Lisbon, then goes to Porto and a cruise up and down the especially scenic Douro River, with a visit across the border to Salamanca, Spain. The prices will range from about $5145 to $6745 pp/dbl. occ. including air fare. There is a pre-trip extension to Cascais and Tomar for $1495 pp and a post trip to Santiago (in Spain) and Braga for $1395 pp. Anyone interested in a single note that Roy has a single but we might be able to arrange sharing a cabin.
